The Invigorating Lemon Tea

One of the most popular tea is lemon tea. Drinking it is very invigorating, and how to make lemon tea is quite easy.. 

Lemon tea is flavored or infused with a bit of fresh lemon juice. The benefits of lemon tea helps to energize the body instantly as well as it can calm and soothe the mind. It has ability to remove toxins from the body and it is also helpful to aid digestion. Lemon tea has many medicinal benefits such as : mental freshness, blood cleanser, cancer, digestive system, and as an antiseptic.

To enjoy how fresh and invigorating lemon tea is, it is best to make it from scratch. All you need are several essential ingredients. The followings are step by step instructions on how to make lemon tea from scratch.

  • 1 ¼ cups water
  • ½ teaspoon tea leaves
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 ½ teaspoon sugar

1. Boil water in a kettle or a saucepan. 
2. Thoroughly wash a lemon and grate the outer skin of the lemon.
3. Keep the lemon zest aside. 
4. Now cut a small sliver of lemon and squeeze the juice out and place it aside
5. Making sure that no lemon seeds get into the juice. 
6. When the water in the saucepan boiling, remove it from the flame and pour the water in the teapot. 
7. Add the tea leaves and close the lid of the teapot immediately and let the tea leaves steep for 2 minutes. 
8. Add 1 teaspoon of grated lemon zest and 1 teaspoon of the freshly squeezed lemon juice into the teapot. 
9. Close the lid of the teapot and let the lemon juice infuse the tea for a few seconds. 
10. Serve lemon infused tea in a tea cup, add sugar and garnish with a slice of lemon. 
11 Stir to mix in the sugar and enjoy the invigorating taste of lemon tea.

Lemon tea could be served hot or cold.
