What Is Green Tea ?

Green tea has become increasingly common on the market today. Green tea comes from a plant native to Asia called Camellia sinensis tea. Black tea comes from this same plant. What makes green tea different, and green, not the plant used to make tea, but how the plant is processed. Green tea is the tea trade treaty and the method used to retain more nutrients and health benefits.

Green tea leaves are harvested and immediately fired, a term that means the processing of tea leaves are steamed. The tea leaves are dried and prepared either for sale or processing. oxidized teas are called black tea and most of the tea we drink in the Western Hemisphere is considered the black tea. Black teas have the characteristic brown color that combine many made with tea. Green tea, however, has a much lighter color and taste due to minimal processing.

Many people believe that green tea is cured. Recent studies indicate that green tea contains powerful antioxidants that make health and stimulate the immune system. The American Cancer Society studied the benefits of green tea to prevent and treat cancer. Other studies suggest that green tea can eliminate or delay Alzheimer's disease. Many believe that green tea is an effective aid to weight loss and others feel green tea offers benefits for patients with arthritis.

Green tea is available in the form of leaf tea bags that food supplements and beverages. Do not wait for the green tea taste like regular tea. The taste of green tea can be described as: fresh, light green, or grass. I have a list of top green tea. Grocers packaged tea can be labeled "green tea", without giving distinctive variety.

How to prepare green tea? Just as you would with any other infusion of tea, if you have bagged or loose  green tea. Green tea is more delicate than black, so you want to keep water a bit 'cooler.
